Description: Description: Paratransit is a wheelchair-accessible shared ride transportation service for individuals whose disability prevents them from using the regular fixed route buses. This means that a person must be unable, because of a disability, to get to or from the bus stop, get on or off a lift or ramp equipped bus, or successfully travel by bus to or from the destination.
Areas Served: Cheney, Medical Lake, Airway Heights, Liberty Lake, and the town of Millwood, Fairchild Air Force Base, the City of Spokane and the City of Spokane Valley. The Spokane International Airport also is served.

Trancare is a non-profit organization that provides non-emergency transportation to and from medical appointments for people who receive a Medicaid ID card covered by DSHS (Department of Social and Health Services) HRSA (Health Recovery Services Administration) under the specific medical program. They provide transportation to the closest provider in your community that offers the type of service that is being requested. They are unable to transport to appointments that are not covered under the ID card

Medical Transportation through the Transit Brokerage

Description: They provide transportation to those services covered by HRSA under your specific medical program. We provide transportation to the local medical provider that offers the type of service you need. We cannot transport to services not covered under the program indicated on your Medicaid card.

Eligibility: If you have a current Medicaid card that is used to pay for your medical services and you have no other way to get to your medical care, you may be eligible for Medical Transportation.
